KEFI makes private-label coffee in Malaysia through partner factories holding Halal, HACCP and MeSTI certifications. We check every ingredient in your formula for Halal compliance, prepare your label, and our partners help you apply for Halal certification so your own brand can carry the logo where the certification allows.
Halal coffee OEM means your coffee is produced, under your brand, in a facility certified to make Halal food, using ingredients that are themselves Halal. Plain roasted coffee is rarely the issue. The questions usually come from everything added to it: creamers, flavourings, emulsifiers, collagen, MCT oil and sweeteners.
For many buyers in Malaysia, Singapore and Muslim-majority export markets, a Halal logo is not a bonus but the condition for being stocked at all. That is why Halal needs to be planned from the first formula, not added at the end.
This is the point most new brands miss. Our partner factories hold Halal certification for their production. That certificate shows the facility and its processes meet Halal requirements, but it does not automatically let a new brand print the Halal logo on its own packs.
Whether your brand can carry the logo depends on the certification covering your specific product and brand, which in Malaysia is handled through JAKIM and the state religious authorities. Our partners can guide you through the application, and we prepare the product information and label details it needs. Until the certification is in place, the pack should not show a Halal logo.
When we develop a formula, every ingredient is checked for a Halal source and supporting documents before it goes into a sample. In coffee products, these are the ones that most often need attention:
| Ingredient | What to check |
|---|---|
| Collagen | The source (fish or bovine) and its Halal certification |
| Creamer and milk powder | Emulsifiers and additives, and the supplier's Halal status |
| Flavourings | Carriers and solvents used in the flavour |
| MCT oil or powder | The oil source and processing aids |
| Gelatine-based ingredients | Usually avoided unless the source is certified Halal |
This is one reason collagen coffee and other functional coffees need more planning than plain kopi.
Our Halal OEM range covers Hainan kopi powder, Ipoh-style and gula Melaka white coffee, 3-in-1 coffee premixes and functional coffees such as keto and MCT coffee, collagen and protein coffee, packed as stick packs, cans, drip bags, powder or beans under your brand.
Each importing country decides which Halal certification bodies it recognises, and the lists differ. Singapore's Islamic Religious Council (MUIS), for example, recognises selected overseas bodies. If you plan to export, tell us your destination early so we can check recognition and labelling before production. Our export coffee OEM page explains the rest of the process.
We start with your product idea and target market, then check the ingredients your concept needs. The formula is developed and sampled with Halal-sourced ingredients only, and once you approve the taste, our design team prepares the label and our partners advise on your brand's certification. Production then runs at the certified partner factory, packed under your brand.
Minimum orders, specifications and timelines are shared in an online or face-to-face consultation.
